Specializing in Deep Tissue, Clinical Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage, and Esalen Massage

I am committed to helping you achieve a pain-free, mobile, and healthy body.  My goal as a massage therapist is to unleash your body’s full potential for a vibrant life. I am deeply committed to facilitating your transformation by creating a safe and nurturing environment where you can experience relaxation and healing.

In my practice, I seamlessly integrate additional modalities such as Tui Na and Trigger Point work. I believe in the power of a multidimensional approach, tailored to the unique needs of each individual. By utilizing a variety of techniques, I can effectively address your concerns and optimize your wellness journey.

In addition to my work as a massage therapist, I enjoyed a 30-year career as a professional dancer, yoga instructor, and dance instructor. I have witnessed first-hand the importance of physical well-being and its impact on overall vitality. I cultivated a keen awareness of body mechanics, alignment, range of motion, and posture, and I bring this knowledge into my massage practice.

Carolyn begin practicing Acupuncture and Manual Therapy in 2002. She is a graduate of the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (San Francisco).

Her initial practice of bodywork included deep tissue, Tui Na (Chinese sports massage), and Thai massage - which she studied with many masters on frequent visits to Thailand.

Carolyn’s manual therapy now focuses on subtle techniques from Osteopathy which are effective at reducing pain and restoring movement, while gentle in their execution. She’s delighted to know Josh Margolis as a mentor in Manual Therapy.

Acupuncture treatments with Carolyn are like a warm hug (from a porcupine ; ). Sessions focus on orthopedic issues (pain, injury, movement dysfunction, scar tissue) as well as constitutional concerns (digestion, sleep, mental health, etc.). affecting the foundation of health.

Carolyn spent 15 years as a teacher of yoga and partner acrobatics; disciplines which inform her movement practice, along with functional movement, Egoscue corrective exercise, and weight-training.
